FFF and LFP: who are the national authorities of French football?
The national football authorities are the French Football Federation (FFF) and the Professional Football League (LFP).
The FFF was created in 1919, it has a delegation of public services, i.e. it will provide a public service in the same way as social security, education, etc... and will manage everything that appeals to amateur football and national selections. Through an agreement, it will transmit the management of professional football to the LFP such as Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and Nationale 1 for some of the clubs.
