What is FIFA's procedure for late payments?
Financial obligation of clubs against players from other clubs. Article 12 bis of the FIFA players' transfer status regulations provides for a procedure for late payments. When a club does not comply with its financial obligations after a period of 30 days, the player or the Club may send a formal notice giving an additional period of 10 days to comply with its obligations.
If the debtor club still does not comply with its obligations, the player or club may refer the matter to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber on the basis of Article 12 bis, which may impose sanctions ranging from a simple warning to a ban on the registration of new players for one or two transfer periods.
