Federal sports regulations: mastering national and international standards (basketball, rugby, tennis, cycling)
This two-day training course, provided by Fellous Avocats, allows you to acquire a global and structured vision of the rules that govern sports disciplines at the national and international level. It is aimed at players in basketball, rugby, tennis, cycling and more generally organized sport. In an environment marked by the multiplication of standards and jurisdictions, professionals need to understand governance mechanisms, legal hierarchies, and federal obligations. Thanks to a pedagogical approach combining theory and practice, this training offers the keys to secure decisions and anticipate risks.

Mastering transnational sports regulations
This first part is devoted to the study of the transnational legal mechanisms that structure modern sport. Participants discover the role of international federations, closed leagues and supranational bodies, as well as the hierarchy of applicable standards. Particular attention is paid to the influence of the Olympic Charter, to membership rules and to recognition procedures. The training also addresses technical standards, sports nationality, and issues related to sex, gender and sports law. Concrete scenarios make it possible to analyze the eligibility conditions of athletes and the legal consequences of institutional decisions.
Understanding federal and state rules
The second part is devoted to national and federal regulations. It makes it possible to identify the structure of norms, statutes, regulations and other legal sources applicable to federations, leagues and clubs. Participants study the main regulatory areas, including the organization of competitions, technical standards, and top-level sport. A situation based on a real dispute illustrates the possible conflicts between leagues and federations, in particular in terms of sports selection. This operational approach allows professionals to better understand institutional balances and to adopt practices that comply with regulatory requirements.
